Free CCDN Event Boosts Wellbeing for Seniors

Wellbeing Expo CCDN

A free  wellbeing event  will be staged by Central Coast Disability Network on Tuesday 31 October, 2017 at The Entrance Leagues Club, Bateau Bay in conjunction with Central Coast Health District Mental Health Services. Older people and their families are invited to attend and benefit from the many services on offer.

The Wellbeing Forum celebrates positive ways to maintain mental and physical health for people over 65. It will feature guest speakers and information plus the chance to win a prize including a Captain Cook Sydney Story Cruise for two.   Local services will be at the ready with tips to boost your wellbeing and to give you a chance to experience popular activities like Yoga and Tai Chi.

If being pampered is more your thing, enjoy a free hand massage before chatting with local experts at our four wellbeing hubs – all  ready to connect you to  health, support, leisure or legal services and the many ways they can improve your daily living.

ABC Radio will be on site recording the event and capturing the experience of our older community on the Central Coast.

CCDN is offering this chance for older people to connect with others as one of many  Mental Health Month events scheduled for October. The theme for Mental Health Month this year is, Share the Journey  recognising the importance of making close connections to improve wellbeing and to  help us build the resilience we need to deal with life’s challenges. Research shows that having a healthy mind matters and opportunities to connect and share life’s journey help us feel valued, on purpose and happy.

This event is a perfect fit for Central Coast Disability Network known for its work connecting local people to services for better living since 1979, most recently through NDIS service provision.

Book your free ticket to join us at The Entrance Leagues Club including complimentary light lunch today by calling our friendly office on (02)4349 3700.
