Do you have an NDIS Plan? We can help you
In August 2017, Central Australia Disability Services (CADS) commenced working alongside community members living with a disability and their families in and around the town of Tennant Creek, Northern Territory.
The very remote Barkly Region (400,000 square kilometres) and Tennant Creek, its largest township with a population of 3,300 people, was the area selected for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) remote area trial site.
CADS started this process with conversations with people – sitting together, listening to stories of family, country and culture. We listen for what people believe they need and for what makes them and community stronger.
In the very remote Barkly Region, on Warumungu country, children, young people and adults seek services and support from CADS to help with NDIS Plan Implementation.
CADS works with people to identify right, practical and timely supports that are culturally strong, for individuals and community.
Services and supports include the following:
- Assistance with Accessing/Maintaining Employment
- Development of Life Skills
- Daily Personal Activities
- High Intensity Daily Activities
- Daily Tasks/Shared Living
- Participating in Community
- Group/Centre Activities
- Life Stage Transition
- Assistance with Travel/Transport
- Household Tasks
- Support Coordination
- Therapeutic Supports
- Early Intervention – Childhood
Central Australia Disability Services is committed to helping people receive the right supports and keep community strong. We work together with Respect. We would like to listen to your story and hear what you need.
